Old Laptop (Dead CMOS)
In this video I attempt to help travis30384 who is having problems with his hp vectra ls/12. For those who are wondering, I have a Zenith Supersport 286e and am not an expert with these systems. The things I know are from trial and error, so if you run into any problems in these instructions, feel free to ask questions.
P.S. If your CMOS batter is dead, keep track of the system settings so you can re-enter them the next time you start up your computer. If you plan on using the computer extensively, I would recommend replacing the battery (just google the one you need, there are many sites that sell them).
