Toshiba released Vardia RD-A301: A HD DVD recorder

Toshiba has released Vardia RD-A301, a recorder that can record a high-definition, HD DVD content to DVDs. It allows HD DVD format content to be stored on red-laser DVD-R/RW/RAM discs.

HDD capacity is 300 GB. It is possible HD DVD burning speed is constant (36.55Mbps). The price is expected around 100,000 Japan YEN.

The biggest feature is the DVD Forum formulated by the HD DVD video recording standard “HD Rec” to support it. HD Rec to supprot it.
